F&B, who we are

F. & B. has been operating in the mechanical engineering sector since 1982, carrying out maintenance on industrial plants and machinery of all kinds, including centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, pumps, gearboxes, turbines and valves.

We also manufacture spare parts for mechanical components to the customer’s drawing, from a sample or by reverse engineering.

From our headquarters in Terni and our operating branch in the province of Varese we work throughout Italy and abroad, in the most demanding branches of industry: Oil & Gas, chemical, petrochemical, energy, pharmaceutical, food, steel, marine, cement, mining and paper.

White metal linings and graphite-insert bushings

We supply spherical bearings, whole or in two halves, in large and standard sizes, fitted on turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors and gearboxes, with bimetallic and trimetallic linings (steel/cast iron/bronze + pink metal + white metal) with a thick layer of anti-friction metal, up to 12 mm of finished lining.

We also design and supply bronze sliding bushings with self-lubricating graphite inserts, for applications with high mechanical loads where fluid lubricants cannot be used.
